In the city of Bolton, party politics are in the control of two men, Jim Durfee and Gordon Freeman, who intend to keep it that way by running a "figurehead" for mayor. They decide upon Sheridan Dows, known as "Sherry," a young society dilettante, who surprises the political bosses by taking his responsibilities seriously.

Marsden accompanies Marian and Wingate on the voyage to seize the gold and the girl. Bannister sneaks aboard at the last minute to protect them.

Helen Corning, a rich "Yankee" widow's daughter, antagonizes her Southern neighbors when she speeds in her roadster. After she causes Brett Page's stalled Ford to overturn, Helen rams Judge Carroll's wagon, upsetting his eggs which fly into his whiskers. Furious, the Judge sends Helen to jail for thirty days. Brett, taking advantage of the town's ancient law that allows townspeople to hire prisoners for twenty cents per day, takes the uncooperative Helen into his home to cook and clean.

Stern district attorney John Raymond sentences innocent June Lawrence to prison along with her guilty husband Dan. After she dies in prison, her brother, reporter Jerry Heath, vows revenge. He gets his opportunity when he is sent to cover a police raid. His photographer takes a picture of Raymond's daughter Kay dancing on a table in her underwear. Jerry saves her from the raid in order to get her exclusive story for his paper.

American Madness

When a reward is offered for his capture and a large shipment of money goes out, Cisco is on hand. Seeing the gang rob the stage he goes after them only to be wounded. The gang leader leaves Cisco's handkerchief at the scene and now he is wanted for the murder he tried to break up.

Ensloe's eldest daughter Eleanor has romantic designs on Hugh, but he is more attracted to her tomboy sister Peggy. Insure Your Wife

This Fox Film comedy – based on a play by Argentinean writer Julio Escobar – features an international cast that includes actor and singer Raúl Roulien and his fiancée in both the movie and real life, actress and dancer Conchita Montenegro. The plot centers on Ricardo Randall (Roulien), who concocts a scheme to establish an insurance policy to protect men from their wives’ infidelity. The plot thickens when Ricardo’s secretary and love interest, Camelia Cornell (Montenegro), is faced with the return of Rita Martín (Maris), a former lover of Ricardo, whose husband Eduardo (Moreno) has purchased an insurance policy on her. The film features tango songs performed by Roulien, with lyrics by Spanish playwright Enrique Jardiel Poncela, who also collaborated on the film’s screenplay.

Do You Love Me

Katharine Hilliard, mousy dean of a stuffy music school, meets and is insulted by swing band leader Barry Clayton on a train. To "show" him she takes a friend's advice, removes her glasses, and puts on a designer gown. Naturally, she becomes gorgeous. Conceited World Champion boxer Tommy Lundy decides to test his popularity in a Broadway show. Tommy always has an eye for the ladies and he starts paying attention to beautiful chorus girl Pat Lambert. Pat's boyfriend Bill Smith isn't impressed with Tommy even though Tommy gets him a boxing part in the show. When Tommy finds out that Pat and Bill were secretly together the night before the show opens, he angrily plans to turn the boxing scene with Bill into a real bout.
